Carters ManMade GPO Trenching Shovel

The GPO trenching shovel, also known as a 2-way trenching shovel, is the wider counterpart to the Manmade Cable Layer shovel. It is perfect for digging trenches wide enough to accommodate utility infrastructure up to 178mm in total width. It features a tapered design, allowing it to easily cut through soil while still having a good “load capacity”.

The head of this spade is forged from a single piece of steel and is a solid socket design, meaning there are no welds to add weak points. Its narrow design allows this spade to neatly and efficiently cut through soil whilst digging trenches on farms or a construction site.

We supply this shovel with a wide range of handle types, allowing you to choose the tool that best suits your personal preference. We stock this shovel with an all-steel shaft and wooden handle, the ash MYD handle with an ash shaft and handle, and the modern plastic Polyfibre YD handle.
