This flow plate is unique as it uses only magnets to reset the fingers. This is very different from many flow plates on the market that use springs. The benefit of using magnets is that the magnets will not stretch and wear out.
The fingers of the ramp are made from a durable and strong high-density polyethylene plastic and are installed within a cartridge that can be lifted out and replaced if needed. Each finger includes a red cats eye to offer maximum visibility to drivers.
The ramps are available with either two sloping ends, one sloping end in a left or right configuration, or with plain ends. The bright colour of this ramp makes it easily seen in the day. We strongly recommend that these are used in conjunction with appropriate signage warning of their use to ensure that drivers understand that the flow ramps are in place.
Fixings (M12 throughbolts) are included with this product.
These ramps can be used almost anywhere where a one-way flow of traffic needs maintaining. This may be to ensure people don't drive around toll gates in parking areas or to prevent them driving out into oncoming traffic.
Place these flow ramps at the exit of car parks to ensure that drivers do not bypass the incoming toll barrier when entering. They can be used to prevent drivers entering through the car park exit and vice-versa.
If you have security checkpoints at your workplace for vehicles then these ramps are a great deterrent to prevent drivers bypassing security.
In this application, these flow ramps can be used to enforce a one-way system and taking shortcuts. They are a very efficient way of ensuring that even on a busy bank holiday weekend all drivers obey the one-way system and don't try and “skip the queue”.
These car flow ramps are bolt-down and easy to install, they come with all fixings allowing fast and efficient installation. Four bolts per unit hold the flow plate securely in place on the floor.
If you have any questions about installation our customer support team are here to help.
So that drivers are fully informed that the flow ramps are in place it is important to use “No Entry” signs in combination with “flow plates in use” or similar signage. Speed limit signs are also recommended to ensure that drivers pass over the ramps at around 5 mph. Although these ramps are designed to not damage a vehicle, in some circumstances they can if driven over too fast, or in the wrong direction.
We have a range of HGV grade traffic control products, including speed bumps and metal tooth flow ramps.
