The ‘Two Way Traffic crossing this route’ preformed thermoplastic road marking is one of the many warning markings we offer from our range. Commonly used to warn drivers that traffic could cross the current route from either direction. This road safety marking can be found at junctions from where one-way traffic roads two-way roads.
Use this marking in combination with a post mounted sign version to re-enforce the warning of two-way traffic ahead. Post mounted signs can be found in our signage section here.
When travelling towards a road marking at speed it needs to be intentionally distorted. This ensures that it can still be interpreted correctly by approaching motorists.

Applying our preformed thermoplastic warning symbols is very easy. Firstly the area must be cleaned of all loose debris, oil, grease and salts. Once this is done you are ready to get going. If your road surface is old tarmac, concrete or block paving then you will need to use our fast-drying primer.
Once you have fully prepped the surface the roundel can be set out. Once you are happy with the marking positioning a heat gun can be used to melt the marking to the road surface. For additional traction glass bead can be sprinkled over the surface, this is fused into the marking with the further application of heat.
Thermoplastic on block paving is known to be more difficult to apply and has a substantially shorter lifetime than on bituminous surfaces, such as tarmac.
Block paving is not a solid structure. Most of the time, they are put down and sand is added into the grooves, so over time when moisture creeps in as well as moss, movement can be made within 2 blocks, making the material crack and fail.
