Danger Deep Excavation | Quick Fit Sign Face (face only)

When deep excavations are being carried out in areas where pedestrians and or vehicular traffic are close by, this quick fit sign face should be used to warn those passing by of the dangers which lay ahead. 

This sign should be used alongside chapter 8 barriers and if appropriate, diversion signage to form a safety area where pedestrians and traffic should not enter. Chapter 8 barriers can be found in our pedestrian barriers category. 

This sign can also be used on the Quick Fit EnduraSign Frame if the metal sign frame is not desired or appropriate.

Reflectivity Grades

RA1 - Advance Engineer Grade Prismatic, suitable for street works and slower speed limits.

Class 2 R2 / RA2 / HIP - High-intensity Prismatic, Suitable for high-speed roadworks on motorways, national speed limits.

Measuring Hole Centres

These should match the sign frames that you already have, or are intending to buy. Some of our signs will come with both sets of holes drilled.

Sign Face Size

The size of the sign face that you need will be dictated by the guidelines in the Chapter 8 guidelines.

Backing Material

Smaller sizes of signs are available on a 3mm plastic backing board. Larger sizes are fixed to a more rigid GRP backing board. GRP signs are fitted with eyelets for extra strength. If you need Composite or Dibond sign faces please call us.
