Things To Consider When Buying A Neck Cape
Sun Protection
Is the cape you are looking to purchase UV rated to prevent the sun's UV rays from penetrating and causing sunburn?
Visibility
Do you need a high visibility face and neck shade, or would a more subtle plain coloured or patterned design be more appropriate?
Waterproofing
Is the neck cover that you are looking at capable of repelling rain and other fluids from entering the rear of your clothing via the collar?
Ear Protection
Does the neck cover protect your ears? If so, can the ear section be pulled out of the way allowing ear defenders to be appropriately worn?
Flame Retardant
If you are welding or carrying out other high-risk hot works, you will want to consider if your hard hat sun shade is flame retardant.
