Simply lay the disc-shaped beacons on the road in a line for traffic to follow, and they’ll flash in sequence - this is more useful to drivers than a row of continuous or blinking lights.

The smart safety flares from Horizont will auto-synchronise, and are visible for up to 1000m. They’re magnetic, impact-resistant, and housed in a sturdy re-charging case. We also offer a hybrid flare that’s suitable for use on the ground or on a traffic cone.

LED street flares have an advantage over traditional pyrotechnic or fusee flares, which burn chemical compounds with an open flame. Fusees are very bright, but they present a fire risk and they’re not reusable. Electronic lights are durable and waterproof as well as safe.

It’s important to work out the appropriate distance between each road flare and how many to use. This will depend on factors like the speed of the road and the size of the incident - but the key is to alert drivers well in advance.
